The woman behind the name - Fannie Farmer (1857 - 1915)
Frannie Farmer opened Miss Farmer’s School of Cookery for the average housewife, where she taught women practical skills for nourishing their families with confidence. With many years of teaching under her belt, she published her landmark Boston Cooking-School Cook Book (The Fannie Farmer Cookbook). This book introduced standardized measurements to cooking, making it easier for home cooks to follow along. Through her work, Farmer reflected timeless virtues and the quiet strength of women who build their homes with care.
